BSA Gold Star 650 Will Launch In India On August 15th, Will Directly Be Competing With Royal Enfield

British company BSA Motorcycles has officially confirmed the launch of Gold Star 650 for the Indian market. The company has received an overwhelming response from buyers in the global market and now it will try its fortune in the Indian market. It will be competing with the Royal Enfield 650.

Unlike the Royal Enfield 650, the BSA uses a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. Its engine is co-developed with the Austrian engineering firm BRP-Rotax. It produces 45hp and 55nm torque. This is not the first time the company has come to India. Earlier it was sold during pre-independence time and was gifted by affluent individuals. After that, it became a part of collectibles for the collectors.

The company is yet to announce the price of this motorcycle for the Indian market though it has positioned itself slightly higher than the Interceptor 650 in the UK. At the same time, it’s important to mention here that Royal Enfield has a huge craze in India that affected the Harley Davidson like big brands. So it would be interesting how the company positions itself in the Indian market in terms of price.
