Finally after long wait MG Motor unveiled Comet EV in India
Finally after a long wait MG Motor unveiled India’s smallest four-seater electric vehicle, the Comet EV today. This urban runabout is a rebadged version of the Wuling Air EV which is sold in Indonesia. So now that it has been unveiled we have a significant amount of information to share with our curious readers.
Exterior
One thing that was very clear since the beginning was its compact design to fit the best urban lifestyle. This car has got a pair of headlamps with an LED light bar that spans the width of the car. Its upright design gives it a boxy look with a 12-inch steel wheel. The rear side of the car has also got square tail lamps with an LED bar.
It will come in attractive color options like Aurora Silver, Candy White, and Apple Green.
Interior
As far as its interior is concerned this car sports twin 10.25-inch screens which include a digital driver’s display and touchscreen infotainment. Just below the infotainment are the rotary controls. MG Motor gave an idea about its steering wheel earlier in a post. Its steering wheel comes with two spokes with iPod-like buttons for the control.
Features and safety
Its features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over 55 connected car features, digital key, manual AC, keyless entry, and 50:50 split rear seats. For safety purposes, it comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, tire pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors with a camera.
Expected
Its technical specifications have not yet been revealed but a leaked document suggests that this car will come with a 17.3kW battery pack paired with a 42PS e-motor.
