First-ever BMW XM Label launched in India, only 1 out of 500 units produced worldwide is now on its way to India

Tuesday, 17 September 2024, saw the launch of the first-ever BMW XM Label in India. A total of 500 units available as Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) has been produced worldwide. India will receive one out of the 500 units, which is now on its way to the country. The BMW XM Label is priced at Rs 3.15 crore (ex-showroom).

Features and Specifications:

The first-ever BMW XM Label comes with an attractive BMW Frozen Carbon Black Metallic paintwork. It also features BMW Individual Leather Merino upholstery in Fiona Red/Black.

Design: Built with a singular character, the BMW XM Label features characteristics of a dynamic Sports Activity Vehicle. It has large surfaces, clear lines, and a front-end look, specially designed for luxury-class BMW models. Design elements also include illuminated BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille surrounds, Toronto Red metallic BMW M kidney grille surround, and rear diffuser insert. The vehicle gets a body paint finish in Individual Frozen Carbon Black Metallic paintwork. The model badges and the wheel inserts get a touch of red. The exterior is bestowed with a contrast of gloss colour accents against shimmering matt surfaces.

The BMW XM Label gets 22-inch M light alloy wheels and the latest generation of M Sports Brakes with Red Calipers.

The interior is blessed with a black/red colour scheme. The BMW XM Label’s rear presents the look and feel of an exclusive M Lounge. It features a distinctive three-dimensional headliner, and the body pillar’s trims feature black surfaces. The upper sections of the backrests, integrated head restraints of the driver, front passenger, and outer rear seats are touched upon with Red. Red is also used on the stitching for the black surfaces of the seats, instrument panel, door trim center console, and air vents. The interior further features an XM badge below the control display and an interior trim strip in a Carbon Fibre satin effect with red and blue accent threads. You will also find a plaque below the control display, which reads ‘1 of 500’.

Cockpit: The cockpit features M multifunction seats, knee pads, M-specific content on the BMW Curved Display (14.9-inch) and the standard-fitted BMW head-up display (12.3-inch), signature M gear selector lever and an M-specific control panel on the center console. The M leather steering wheel features trim elements in Black Chrome, plus M buttons and gearshift paddles with carbon inlays. The plus and minus symbol on it is painted red. The BMW XM Label also features a special feature, which is a symbol that identifies the Boost Mode on the left-hand shift paddle. The Curved Display offers Navigation with real-time traffic information, while the digital information is present on the BMW Head-up Display.

Sound: The vehicle is further bestowed with a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and 1,475-watt amplifier. You also get illuminated elements, which allows you to have a multi-layered 3D sound experience. The XM is further supported by a pure-electric sound experience mode with BMW IconicSounds Electric.

Engine and Power: The BMW XM Label features an electric motor and V8 engine. It has a plug-in hybrid system that offers a combined maximum output of 550 kW (748 hp) and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm. The combustion engine can deliver up to 430 kW (585 hp) and a maximum torque of 720 Nm. The electric drive on the other hand offers a peak output of 145 kW (197 hp) and a maximum torque of 280 Nm.

The vehicle has a high voltage 25.7 kW lithium-ion battery.

The BMW XM Label offers a pure-electric driving range of up to 76-82 kms. It can sprint from 0-100 km/hr in about 3.8 seconds. Electronically the top speed of the vehicle is limited to 250 km/hr. With the M Driver’s package, this limit can be extended to 290 km/hr.

The XM also offers a complimentary BMW Wallbox charger with installation.

The vehicle is supported by a fourth-generation 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. Along with it, three driving modes are available which can be selected with the use of the M Hybrid button on the center console.

The XM also features M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Along with it, BMW ConnectedDrive technology turns the car into an interconnected digital device. Some connected drive features are Digital Key Plus, Emergency Call, Real-time Traffic Information, etc.

The vehicle is further incorporated with the latest BMW Operating System 8.5 and additionally complemented by BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. With the BMW Operating System 8.5 interaction with the vehicle is possible through touch or voice.

Furthermore, with the My BMW App information on vehicle status is accessible. The app also offers ‘Learning Navigation’, which offers destination suggestions and traffic information according to your driving habits. You can turn your smartphone into a vehicle key with the BMW Digital Key Plus feature, which enables remote locking/unlocking and starting the car.

Driver Assistance systems on the vehicle include the likes of Parking Assistant Plus with Surround View Camera, Reversing Assistant, etc.

Some BMW EfficientDynamics features on the XM include eDRIVE technology, Electric power Steering, Hybrid-specific Auto Startup, BMW EfficientLightweight, Active air flap control, etc.

Some safety features on the XM include six airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS), M Dynamic Mode (MDM), Attentiveness Assistance, M Sport differential networked with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), etc.
