Hyundai Owners have started posting on their cars “I am ashamed to drive this car as it is from an anti national company”

Hyundai Motor India is experiencing flak on social media after a tweet supporting separatists in Kashmir was posted by Hyundai in Pakistan.

Hyundai Pakistan remarked on Twitter, “Let us commemorate the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers and stand in solidarity as they continue their battle for independence,” with the hashtag #KashmirSolidarityDay, according to screenshots uploaded by Twitter users. The tweet has since been removed.

Several Twitter users also urged people to buy from Maruti or Tata instead of Hyundai, with the hashtags #BoycottHyundai, #Kashmir, and #Tata trending.

According to Twitter users, an account affiliated to Hyundai’s affiliate Kia Corp. also posted identical social media posts. According to screenshots posted by users, Kia Motors Crossroads – Hyderabad, Pakistan tweeted, “We stand united for the independence of Kashmir.” #Kashmir, #5Feb, #KiaPakistan, and #KiaCrossroads were among the hashtags used in the post. It appears that the original post has been removed.

#HyundaiGlobal began trending on Twitter on Monday, with users demanding an apology for the Pakistan affiliate’s message.
