Mahindra Be.05 spotted testing for the first time in India

Reportedly, Mahindra will be introducing five new electric SUVs in the next four years. The automobile company is said to introduce the all-new BE (Born electric) range. Last year the first model to launch under this range- BE.05 was showcased in the UK meanwhile in India it was revealed this year in the month of February. As per a Twitter post by MotorOctane, this upcoming Mahindra BE.05 has been spotted testing for the first time in India.

As revealed by Mahindra this model will measure over 4300mm in length and will have a wheelbase of 2,775mm. It will be underpinned by Mahindra’s new INGLO platform and equipped with Level 2 ADAS tech. Some of the key highlights include C-shaped LED DRLs, sculpted tapering bonnets, squarish wheel arches, and sporty alloy wheels. The test mule could be seen with conventional ORVMs.

At the rear side, BE.05 consists of a tapering roofline with a sporty spoiler, prominent tailgate, and full-width LED strip. On the inside, the BE.05 will sport a dual-screen setup, a new steering wheel, and upholstery made from recycled materials.

The BE.05 is expected to come with semi-active suspension and brake-by-wire. Mahindra’s ‘Born Electric’ range is said to be offered in single-motor and dual-motor configurations with an overall output rated at 228-282 BHP and 335-389 BHP respectively. Also, Mahindra will offer multiple battery options ranging from 60-80 kWh.
