Maruti Suzuki Jimny launched for a price of Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05
The car market saw the launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV on June 7, 2023 (Tuesday). The launch happened for a price of Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes in two variants, which are alpha and beta.
The entry-level Zeta MT can be availed for a price of Rs 1,274,00. The Zeta AT will be available at Rs 1,394,000. The Alpha MT and Alpha AT are available for a price of Rs 1,369,000 and Rs 1,489,000 respectively. On the other hand, the Alpha MT (Dual Tone) and Alpha AT (Dual Tone) are available for a price of Rs 1,385,000 and Rs 1,505,000 respectively.
Some of the features and specifications of the Jimny are as follows.
In terms of colour, these variants are available in colours of sizzling red, next blue, granite, grey, pearl arctic white, bluish black, sizzling red with a bluish black roof and kinetic yellow with a bluish black roof.
The Jimny’s exterior includes circular headlamps with a project unit, a five-slot grille, fog lights, chunky wheel cladding, grey alloy wheels, rectangular halogen tails, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a high-mounted stop lamp, and black ORVMs.
You can enjoy a Jimny’s ride, whose interior features a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, dark green glass, automatic climate control, cruise control, a three-spoke steering wheel and a hard-top.
A 1.5 litre, four-cylinder, K51B petrol engine powers the Jimny. This engine generates a power of 103bhp and 134Nm of torque. A five-speed manual unit and a four-speed torque converter automatic unit are the transmission units of the Jimny.
The Jimny debuted at the Auto Expo 2023. Since then, the company has been carrying out bookings for the same. As of now, they have received about 30,000 bookings.
According to reports, the dealers will start distributing the new Jimny cars in mid-June in phases.
The Jimny is being planned to be manufactured in the Gurugram plant of Maruti. Post-production, it will be marketed to different places. India is the first nation to receive the five-door version.
Maruti also gives its users the option to opt for the Jimny via their subscription programme. This subscription programme can be availed for a monthly fee of Rs 33,550.
