MG Hector to get Tesla like infotainment system in its 2022 model, here is the complete info

The larger new infotainment system for the incoming 2022 MG Hector was unveiled today by MG Motor. The interior of the new SUV was briefly shown in the first teaser released by MG Motor India, which would have the largest-in-segment 14″ HD infotainment system. The screen is set up in a portrait orientation, much like the Tesla car’s system. The 2022 Hector, which is anticipated to debut before the end of this year, will also include additional features and ADAS.

The MG Astor followed the MG Gloster in the company’s offering of Level 1 ADAS. It appears that Hector will receive the same technology update next, in 2022.

With a panoramic sunroof, a 10.4-inch infotainment display with OTA updates, a wireless charger, ventilated seats, Hinglish voice commands, and an eSIM for connected features, the MG Hector was already a very well-equipped vehicle in its class. With the MY2022 facelift, the Hector will get a massive 14-inch infotainment screen, outshining rivals like the Hyundai Creta, which has a 10.25-inch screen.

Tesla already comes in with a 15-inch infotainment system. However, comparing it with Tesla’s screen would be wrong as both cars are of a completely different spec altogether.

Due to the cutting-edge technology and connected features it offers, the 2019 India introduction of the MG Hector attracted a lot of market attention. With the addition of the three-row SUV Hector Plus, the Hector line was further enlarged.

Early in 2021, MG Motor introduced the Hector with a facelift, and the company is now developing another mid-life update for the SUV. Camouflage has been seen on the 2022 model a few times now. Expect the new Hector to have minor outward changes, such as a modified grille, in addition to improvements to the cabin.
