New Kawasaki provides traction control in the revised Ninja 650 and Z650 model
Revision in Kawasaki’s middleweight Ninja 650 and Z650 motorcycles for 2023 just took place, and sooner or later the revised models will be arriving in the US.
The Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) bikes are fairly basic units that rely solely on wheel-speed sensors to collect data, and there is no slender functionality provided by an IMU as found on more advanced systems. This system is most likely the same as the one found on the recently released Kawasaki Versys 650. The KTRC system is available in two modes: Level 1 has to offer a subtle involvement with some slip before kicking in, while Level 2 is intended for conditions with poor grip and intervenes much earlier. If the rider prefers, the system can be turned off completely.
These newly featured bikes are precisely identified to the previous versions. However, both the bikes are powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine that produces 68hp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. The chassis, suspension, and braking hardware continues to be the same as before. Given the changes, we anticipate that the newer model will be slightly more expensive than the current model when it arrives here. The Z650 currently costs Rs 6.43 lakh, while the Ninja 650 costs Rs 6.95 lakh.
