New Toyota Century SUV to hit the market later this year

In recent developments, Toyota affirmed the availability of a new Century SUV to their Century sedan line-up at the earliest. The new SUV is will make its global debut later this year. The brand revealed this in the unveiling event of the new Vellfire MPV.

After the Century sedan, the new SUV will be the second model under the “Century badge”. Unlike the Century sedan, the Century SUV will be launched as a global product. The Century sedan is primarily sold in Japan.

Toyota recently expanded its Crown brand market, which is now available in global markets, which is inclusive of North America. Similarly, the Century SUV will be used to expand the Century band in the global market domain.

The new SUV will mostly be suitable for the city rather than off-road terrain. The SUV will be a good choice for chauffeur-driver buyers.

Reports are suggestive of the fact that the new SUV will be spacious and would offer a more comfortable experience.

Reports are also drawing conclusions that the new SUV would feature a similar design that found its way into the Toyota Grand Highlander SUV. The market is looking forward to a larger but similar wheelbase overall design for the Toyota Century SUV. It has been reported that the new Century SUV will be 5.2 meters long and two meters wide.

Reports stated that the new Century SUV will not have a V12 petrol engine, but it would rather feature a petrol-hybrid powertrain.
