Ola Electrics has introduced a new range of electric scooters in the Indian market- Gig and S1Z series. These new series of scooters are said to target various customer segments, including gig workers and personal commuters for both rural and urban use.

This scooter is designed for gig workers who make shorter trips. It offers a robust design, sufficient range, a removable battery, and safety features. The scooter offers 112 km of range with a single battery and a top speed of 25 kmph. It comes with a removable 1.5 kWh battery and a hub motor with a peak output of 250W. It is equipped with 12 inch tyres. It is priced at Rs.39,999.
Ola Gig+
This scooter is designed for gig workers covering long distances with heavier loads. It offers an 81 km range with a single battery and a 157 km range with dual batteries. It is said to offer a top speed of 45kmph. It is powered by a hub motor with a peak output of 1.5Kw. This scooter is also equipped with 12 inch tyres. It is priced at Rs.49,999.
Ola S1Z Series

This scooter is designed for urban commuters. It offers a 75 km range with a single battery and 146 km with dual batteries. It provides a top speed of 70kmph. It is equipped with dual 1.5kWh removable batteries, a 2.9kW hub motor, an LCD display, and 14 inch tyres. It can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 4.8 seconds. It is priced at Rs.59,999.
Ola S1Z+
This scooter is a dual-purpose scooter designed for both personal and light commercial use. It also offers a 75 km range with a single battery and a 146 km range with dual batteries. It is equipped with dual 1.5kWh removable batteries, a 2.9kW hub motor, and 14-inch tyres. The scooter is said to provide a top speed of 70kmph. It can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 4.7 seconds. It is priced at Rs.64,999.
Both the EV scooter series are open for reservations at just Rs.499 while the deliveries are expected to start next year in April or May.
Except for these scooters, Ola has also introduced an all-new portable inverter- Ola PowerPod.
Ola PowerPod
This is a power source that allows the scooter’s portable battery to function as an inverter, powering small household appliances like ceiling fans, routers, LEDs, televisions, and mobile chargers. It offers 500W output anda 1.5kWh battery that is capable of running for three hours to power essential devices. It is priced at Rs.9,999 and will be sold via Ola Electric stores.
