Ola opens 600 stores in record 8 months time and aims to open 1000 stores

The co-founder of Ola Cabs and Ola Electric Bhavish Agarwal has shared a celebrating moment on Twitter through a post that reads ” 600 stores now! Scaled up in a record 8 months. Getting towards 1000 stores soon”. He is considered the most ambitious, straightforward entrepreneur and is working towards revolutionizing EV mobility. Bhavish Agarwal wants a complete rejection of petrol and a total commitment to EVs by 2025.

Ola is also working rigorously towards its cell gigafactory. It will be the largest cell manufacturing plant in the country. Agarwal in an earlier tweet sharing the video of the site wrote on Twitter ” Work started and moving along at full speed on our cell gigafactory! It will be India’s biggest and amongst the world’s biggest cell factories. And the centerpiece for #endICEage!”.

This gigafactory will be situated in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district and will have a capacity of producing 10 gigawatt-hours of battery cells per annum. It would be a major leap for not only OLA but also for other companies which depend on cell imports. These imports have never been so much more vulnerable than now because of various factors affecting the supply chain.
