Samsung’s Automotive LPDDR4X Memory Qualifies For Use With The Snapdragon Digital Chassis from Qualcomm; Will Be Applied In Premium In-Vehicle Infotainment And ADAS Systems

Samsung and Qualcomm have collaborated multiple times to deliver premium consumer experiences with their innovations. Well, both companies have once again joined their hands to support premium in-vehicle Infotainment and advanced driver assistance systems.

Samsung has announced the successful qualification of its automotive LPDDR4X memory for use with Snapdragon Digital Chasis from Qualcomm. This LPDDR4X memory is set to be applied in premium in-vehicle infotainment and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Commenting on this collaboration, Hyunduk Cho, VP and head of the Automotive Group at Samsung Electronics Memory Business said, “With a broad automotive lineup of AEC-Q1001-qualified DRAM and NAND products, Qualcomm Technologies is an ideal partner to work with for long-term customer solutions. Through Samsung’s leadership in design, manufacturing, and packaging for memory solutions, our work with Qualcomm Technologies can help support rapid development cycles while ensuring reliability, verification, and exceptional product control, which are essential for the automotive industry.”

Other than this, Samsung also announced that the company is developing its next-generation automotive LPDDR5, samples are said to be available within Q4 of 2024. The company has revealed that this LPDDR5 product will support the highest speed currently available in the automotive memory market at up to 9.6gbps even in extreme temperatures.
