The auto manufacturer Skoda has recently unveiled its first EV in the midsize SUV- Skoda Elroq. This all-new electric SUV for now is unveiled in global markets only but it is expected to arrive in the Indian market as well in 2025.

Skoda Elroq: Design & Features
It arrives with a modern solid design language and features a Tech deck face. It comes with a new black panel that spans the width of the face and features four segmented LED lights at either end. The main headlamps are positioned on the bumper while at the rear it features a robust looking dual tone bumper. Instead of a Skoda logo, it features SKODA lettering on the bonnet, tailgate, and even on the steering wheel.
Coming to the interior, It sports a 13-inch central infotainment screen with AC vents below. There are also shortcut buttons available for features like ADAS, drive modes, climate controls, and other functions. The center console features a lever for the drive selector and a couple of cupholders. It offers up to 48 litres of in-cabin storage space with 470 litres of boot capacity. The upholstery is made from recycled PET bottles. The SUV arrives with a Digital Cockpit, electric tailgate, and virtual pedal, KESSY advanced and Electrically retractable tow bar.
It is underpinned by Volkswagen Group MEB architecture that is stretched to 4.49 meters. There are three battery and powertrain options- 50,60 and 85. The 50 version comes with a 52kWh battery and a 170hp rear-mounted motor that offers a range of more than 370km on a WLTP cycle. The 60 version gets a 59kWh battery and 204hp and has a range of more than 385km. The 85 variant gets 77kWh batter and 285hp with more than 560km of range. This version is claimed to come up from 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds while the 50 variant is claimed to take 9 seconds to hit 100km/h.
The 50 and 60 variants can be charged at speeds of up to 145kW, going from 10% to 80% in 25 minutes while the 85 variant can be charged at speeds of up to 175kW, and reaches up to 80% in 28 minutes.
Color Options include- Race blue, Timiano green, Velvet red, Moon white, Black magic, graphite grey, steel grey, Brilliant silver, and Energy blue for Skoda Elroq Sportline while Skoda Elroq First Edition arrives in Timiano green/ Black roof, and Moon white/Black roof.
