TATA Motors introduces new TATA Power EZ Charge Card for EVs, tap and charge your EV instantly

TATA Motors is introducing a new TATA Power EZ CHARGE Card for their Electric Vehicles.

This card will be RFID enabled. The card would bring inconvenience in regards to charging EVs. TATA has tried to ensure that the process of charging up EVs becomes easy for their EV users. The card would allow a user to start their journey just with a three-step process, that is tap, charge, and go.

To charge your EV, all you will have to do is tap the card on the charger and the charging process will begin automatically. You will be able to set up a recharge value for the charging. You can go ahead with your journey, once your EV is fully charged.

The card would allow multi-utility in the context that a family can just depend on one single card.

To avail of your card, you can either go to an EZ Charge self-portal or go to a Tata Motors Dealership.

However, the news wasn’t welcomed by netizens wholeheartedly.

Netizens on Twitter pointed out that other providers are providing RFID cards for free when TATA is charging Rs 299 just for the card. Another user stated that Tata charges 18 % tax and the Rs 150 security deposit cannot be used. Some were of the view that Tata can step up to a more seamless charging experience.
