Tata Nexon facelift bagged the second-highest score (32.22) for adult and child occupant safety under the Global NCAP Safer Cars For India campaign
We earlier updated you in the month of September 2023, when the Tata Nexon facelift was unveiled with new features and designs. In the latest developments, the Tata Nexon facelift has bagged the second-highest score ever in the category of adult and child occupant safety under the Global NCAP Safer Cars for India campaign.
The new Global NCAP crash test protocol came into effect about a year ago.
The new testing protocol also includes side impact protection tests.
The Tata Nexon was marked with a total of 32.22 points out of 34, for adult occupancy protection (AOP). On the other hand, in the category of child occupant protection (COP) it received a total of 44.52 points out of 59.
The Nexon was tested for the third time in the latest test by Global NCAP under new and stricter testing protocols. It previously had a 5-star rating in hand, but with the new scores in the above-mentioned categories, it has now also received 5 stars in both AOP and COP.
Tata Motors has significantly enhanced the structural build of the SUV in its facelift. The Tata Nexon facelift showcased efficient protection in all aspects in terms of front, side-impact, and side-pole impact tests.
It consists of six airbags, ESC, seat belt reminders, ISOFIX anchors, and a passenger airbag disabling switch in terms of standard safety features.
The Tata Nexon facelift stands second to the Tata Harrier/Safari which has a total of 33.05 points with a 5-star rating.
