Tata Sierra Set for 2025 Launch with Electric and ICE Variants
Tata Motors has announced plans to launch the Sierra SUV model in both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) versions next year. The announcement aligns with the company’s strategy to introduce four new electric vehicles in the Indian market by the end of 2025.
Launch Timeline
The Sierra EV is scheduled for release in the second half of 2025, approximately eight months from now. The ICE version will follow shortly after, following a launch pattern similar to the Curvv model, where the electric variant preceded the conventional fuel version by about one month.
Sierra EV Specifications
The electric variant will be built on the Acti.ev platform, shared with the current Punch EV and Curvv EV. Key features include:
- Standard two-wheel drive configuration
- Optional dual-motor all-wheel drive for higher variants
- Battery capacity options between 60kWh to 80kWh
- Projected range of over 500km per charge
The dual-motor AWD system will be shared with the upcoming Harrier EV and Safari EV models.
Sierra ICE Details
The conventional fuel version will utilize Tata’s ATLAS platform, currently used in the Curvv ICE. This platform supports vehicles ranging from 3.9 to 4.6 meters in length.
