Tesla to support multiple digital display: Configured touchscreen layout for the ultimate UX
Tesla aims to embrace numerous digital display layouts for its vehicle’s central touchscreen through potential over-the-air app upgrades, allowing owners to tailor the user experience that better suits their needs.
The ability to switch between predefined touchscreen display formats will make it simpler for both drivers and passengers to navigate vehicles Navigation, Entertainment, Temperature Features, Music Controls, among other features of Tesla apps, which matter most to them.
Also, drivers with a preference for optimum, undistracted viewing of their speed limit, complete self-driving status, and generally a detailed view of driving-related graphics could select from a full-screen layout.
“We will offer multiple display options,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in response to a Twitter suggestion for the opportunity to select from different screen formats.
Tesla continued to make extensive enhancements to Model 3, Model Y, and flagship Model S/X user interface through each major iteration of its in-car firmware. As Tesla unveiled the highly-anticipated version 10.0 at the end of 2019, the company released a digital content ecosystem that included common video streaming platforms such as Twitter, Netflix, Hulu, Twitch, as well as a totally updated interface for quick access to the main vehicle features and new Tesla Arcade games.
Even, Tesla owners are not afraid of giving input to Musk that involves advice about how much screen real estate driving functions can occupy.
With V11 and features such as remote Sentry Mode monitoring already in operation, a function that will allow drivers to choose from several display settings and improve usability, but with limited attention from drivers by over-the-air updates, bodes well for a company that has never sat on its laurels as a “car company.”
