Last month PM Narendra Modi and Elon Musk met in Washington and just after that Tesla posted about job openings in Mumbai on its official website. It was said that Elon Musk is considering starting Tesla retail operations in India by April 2025 while a recent report revealed that the first Tesla showroom will open in Mumbai’s BKC and the second showroom is expected to open in Delhi’s Aerocity.
Tesla’s recruiter in APAC, Ricky Ip yesterday announced via X platform that Tesla’s first recruitment event in India will be held on 8th March from 11:00-17:00.

The event will be held at Jio World Convention Centre, Meeting Suite 104A, The Jio World Centre, Mumbai. At this event, Tesla will be hiring a Sales Advisor. Interested candidates can scan the QR code given above and submit the form and are said to arrive 5 minutes earlier on 8 March for registration.
Candidates should note that an eligible local driving license is a must, a pre-booked appointment is required, and a hard copy of your CV should be carried for an interview while the interview will be conducted in group format and in English.
If reports are to be believed, Tesla is expected to import electric cars from Berlin, Germany to India. The company may launch its first EV in India for Rs 21 lakhs.
