Video of an Ola S1 pro scooter on fire surfaced on Saturday from Pune, India

In other worrying news for Ola Electric, a video of an Ola S1 pro scooter on fire surfaced on Saturday from Pune. In a statement, the firm stated that they are aware of an incident involving one of its scooters in Pune and are investigating to determine the root cause. More information will be shared in the coming days.

“We’re in continual contact with the consumer, who is completely safe,” it continued. Vehicle safety is of the utmost concern to Ola, and we are dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards in our goods.

We take this situation seriously and will take appropriate steps and provide additional information in the coming days.” This is not the first time an electric scooter in India has caught fire. A person recently died in Haryana as a result of an explosion in the lithium-ion battery of a scooter sold by Gurugram-based HCD India.

Fire explosion cases, on the other hand, have always featured manufacturers accused of marketing subpar products. Until Saturday, top manufacturers, particularly Ola Electric, which claims to be building the world’s largest two-wheeler plant, were known for providing high-quality products. Hormazd Sorabjee, the senior auto journalist and editor of Autocar India, stated on Twitter that the burning Ola scooter shows battery safety concerns.
