Taigun and Virtus are the two five-star rated models of Volkswagen and at the 2023 Annual brand conference, Volkswagen announced new variants of these successful models. Pointing all curiosities and high hopes to end the German automaker made these big announcements. As per the company, these new variants will be launched in the month of June this year.
New variants of Virtus and Taigun
Volkswagen unveiled a 6-speed manual transmission option for Virtus GT – Virtus GT Plus MT. As revealed by the brand this variant will be arriving with a GT front grill, red brake calipers, an electric sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a dual-tone exterior paint scheme. Other than this it will also feature 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, ventilated front seats, and an 8-inch digital cockpit screen for instrumentation.
Similarly, Taigun GT will also be made available in a 6-speed manual transmission option – Taigun GT Plus. It will be arriving with a matte finish and for those passengers who need luggage accessories, there will be a Trial Version.
Apart from this both Vitus GT Plus and Taigun GT Plus are said to feature a 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder, TSI EVO engine that produces 147 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
Other than this, Volkswagen India also showcased the Taigun 1.5 liter TSI DSG in it’s entry-level GT trim. For the Virtus sedan, the brand will also introduce new special edition models which will get an exclusive ‘ Deep Black Pearl ‘ paint.
