Xiaomi EV ID Designs Revealed Via Chinese Certification Website: Might have Three Variants

Xiaomi’s upcoming electric vehicle is said to be in the works and is expected to be unveiled early next year. Ahead of it, the ID design images of the EV along with some of its key features have been revealed via a Chinese certification website.

The upcoming electric vehicle from Xiaomi, previously suggested to be called “MS11”, was spotted being tested in Xinjiang, China, three months back, with two Xiaomi officials onboard. Following the update, a Chinese tipster had also shared that the EV had entered its trial production stage. This latest report on the EV has revealed more about what we all anticipated to hear.

The ID design images give us a clear picture of how Xiaomi’s EV would look, and it is said that the EV will have three variants – SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. The dimensions measure 4,997 mm x 1,963 mm x 1,455 mm, and its tire options range from 245/45R19 and 245/40R20 tire sizes.

Other notable features are the Lidar front windshield, 220kW front induction & 275kW rear permanent magnet (in total 495kW) dual motor setup, CATL 800V ternary Kirin battery, rearview mirrors, ETC – which enables seamless toll payments, and many optional customizations.

Regarding the optional customizations, the EV will offer optional side fender lettering, optional rear windshield lettering, optional ETC, optional rearview mirrors with different appearances, optional different canopy glasses, optional front windshields of different styles with the optional laser radar, optional rims having different appearances, and optional painted calipers.

It should also be noted that only the SU7 Max model will come with Lidar equipped on its roof, and even the pro version will not have it.

About the EV’s debut, based on what previous reports had pointed out, the upcoming Xiaomi EV is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year, and will likely be launched in the mid-half of 2024.
