Xiaomi EV technology launch event announced to held on December 28

China-based tech giant Xiaomi has announced on Weibo that it will hold a technology launch event on December 28 starting at 2:00 PM Beijing time. Xiaomi’s founder has specified in an X post sharing the poster that the technology launch event is just about the tech and not about the products.

The poster shared by Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi reads Stride and unveils the chassis of the car. Unlike smartphones that are launched with a single launch event, Xiaomi’s upcoming EV is going to have more than one launch event. The company aims to compete with Tesla in the upcoming days.

Xiaomi EV named official Weibo account has also been created by the company that now has 85,000 followers on Weibo. A post shared through this Weibo account reads that it’s been 1,000 days since the company officially announced its production of cars. As per the announcement, the technology conference will be a “comprehensive display of Xiaomi’s technology accumulation in 13 years since its founding”.

Just recently the Xiaomi SU7 Max’s first look was revealed online. It showed that the upcoming car will have a sporty design and will feature yellow Brembo calipers, Michelin PSEV tires, and a three-section electric rear wing.
