Adani Group will now own 29.18% stake in NDTV media group
According to a press release published by the Adani Group, NDTV will now have a new stakeholder with 29.18%. This new shareholder is none other than the Adani Group.
The co-founders, journalist Radhika Roy and economist Prannoy Roy have a controlling stake in the company, individually holding 16.32% and 15.95% of the shares respectively, and jointly holding an additional 29.18%.
Now NDTV will have the Adani group as a major stakeholder in the news and media outlet. However, according to the press release, the Adani group is buying the stake in the company indirectly.
