The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Google for all the misconducts the company has been following in the field of digital advertising which has eliminated the place of its other rival companies.

The Attorney General of the United States, Merrick Garland announced the lawsuit on Tuesday, 24th of January 2023 in Washington. He has also spoken regarding how Google has been practicing unfair means for about 15 years to eliminate the rise of other companies and regarding how Google has manipulated the auction mechanics to protect itself from the competition of its rival companies.

Eight states in the United States has joined the lawsuit which includes the states of Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia and Google’s home state – California.

Google has also responded by saying that the accusations against the company is based on a false argument. The actions which are going to be taken by the government will also make it difficult for small companies and publishers to develop, says Google.
