Apple to lose $3 mn daily after exit from Russia
Apple could lose $3 million daily in iPhone sales and $1.14 billion annually after the exit from Russia. This ongoing Russia-Ukraine war has brought many of the notable American and European companies to stop the operating or exit from Russia where some of those companies lose Russian country’s revenue.
The estimates are according to the Lithuania-based online shopping Portal Burga.
“Apple’s exit in Russia put a close to the rocky relationship between the two entities. Nobody, Russia has in the past enacted questionable policies for companies like Apple to comply with. Apple had only recently adhered with a government mandate to open offices in Russia to offer online services there” said the report.
Though Apple is to lose $3 million on daily basis in iPhone sales, Russia doesn’t go for important revenue share for Apple products. We know that Apple is the tech giant of all brands. It is said that Apple’s exit could pressurize other brands and Samsung has already stopped shipping to Russia.
According to data by Burga, South Korea’s company Samsung occupies 34% and Apple accounts for 15% with the third spot.
The exit of two big manufacturers might pay a way for Chinese operators like Xiaomi and Realme who already have 26 and 8 percent of share to grow higher but for some reason, they are on hold. Followed by this some consequences can be encountered like theses firms might suffer the impact of any follow-up sanctions that can bar companies from operating in Russia using U.S origin technology.
These things are well mentioned in the report.
