ATM Transaction Charges : Withdrawal beyond permissible limit gets expensive by Re 1

The RBI after an extent of 7 years had expanded the transaction limit in August 2021.  In August 2014, the taxes expected by clients were previous revised.

Bank clients are now compelled to reimburse one rupee extra on each ATM transaction accomplished beyond the acceptable extent of free transactions. Beneficial from January 1, 2022 banks are licensed to charge Rs 21 per transaction if a client exceeds the allowable free limits, rather of the early price of Rs 20 per transaction.

The taxes on ATM transactions have been boosted pursuing an announcement of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) courted June 10, 2021. RBI told to the notification that To compensate the banks for the increased interaction tax and provided the general escalation in expenses, they are permitted to enhance the client taxes to Rs 21 per transaction. This gain shall be beneficial from January 1, 2022.
