Apple to set up a new manufacturing unit near Hosur. IT Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw confirms that the unit will employ a total of 60,000 employees from India.

Recently in the Foxconn Plant in Zhengzhou, due to the current pandemic and the strict restrictions by the Chinese Government, most of the employees left the Plant.
The Plant had a total of 2,00,000 employees and was considered Apple’s biggest manufacturing unit. The number of workers dropped significantly forcing Apple to shift its production to India.
In the Apple manufacturing unit of Southern India, it was said that more workers are being hired to raise the production of Apple products.
Now, Apple has decided to start a new manufacturing unit near Hosur in Bengaluru.
Apple wants to take its production out of China to India due to the ever-rising logistics issues.
About the Manufacturing Unit near Hosur
During the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas ceremony, the IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that Apple is going to launch its new manufacturing unit in India.
It will be located near Hosur in Bengaluru and as per the reports 6,000 of the 60,000 women, from Ranchi and Hazaribagh have been trained in making Apple iPhones.
The government of India always wanted to have a “Made in India” in the Apple product. The new factory will make it a reality.
As mentioned, having this number of workers work in India, Apple will become free from all the bounded restrictions that they have with China.
