Bill Gates Prefers an Android Smartphone Over iPhones

Bill Gates, the American business magnate and the co-founder of Microsoft, had previously made it clear that he uses an Android smartphone instead of an iPhone. Over all these years, not even once, Gates had a thought in switching to an Apple iPhone.

Currently, Bill Gates uses a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 which the Chairman of Samsung, JY Lee himself gave him when he visited him in South Korea to update his Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Gates has also made it clear that with the Samsung Fold phone, he doesn’t need a tablet and for a PC, he uses an unnamed portable PC which is powered by Windows itself.

He also doesn’t use an iPad, a MacBook, or a Microsoft Surface Duo other than his smartphone and his portable PC.

The reason to why Gates prefers an Android smartphone was once explained by him during an interview held in 2021.

Bill Gates likes the way how Android smartphones have comparatively better and flexible software integration. He likes how the Microsoft software is preinstalled in the smartphones in such a way making it easier for him to use.

This is however something not convincing as any Microsoft apps can be easily downloaded on iPhones through the Apple App Store.

Just because Bill Gates uses an Android smartphone doesn’t mean that Android smartphones are better or iPhones are not good. It’s just based on the personal preference and choice of the smartphone user.
