CAMS and KFintech Establish Stand-Alone Entity for MFCentral Platform

Computer Age Management Services Limited (CAMS) and KFin Technologies Limited (KFintech) have announced a new joint venture to establish MFCentral as a separate entity. This stand-alone company will take over technology development, sales, and marketing for MFCentral, aiming to streamline mutual fund transactions for investors and expand services for intermediaries.

The new joint venture will focus on MFCentral’s further development and business operations, with CAMS and KFintech sharing equal ownership. The objective is to continue aligning with SEBI’s mandate to improve investor convenience while exploring monetisation avenues to expand platform offerings.

MFCentral offers APIs for Consolidated Account Statements (CAS), which mutual fund distributors and registered investment advisors (RIAs) use to provide investors with a unified view of holdings. The platform supports APIs for non-financial and financial transactions, allowing transaction acceptance with validation, which has been beneficial for banks, NBFCs, and other financial service providers.
