Dell Engineers and researchers are offered with new jobs in Russia after the company makes an exit

On Saturday, Many of the researchers and engineers working for Dell Technologies Inc. in Russia have been offered new jobs, says the industry ministry, after media reports of Dell making a complete exit from the Russian market.

According to CNews this week, citing unnamed sources from the company and the wider market that Dell was due to fully exit the country and would be laying off all its local staff.

A similar report was published by another IT-focused news portal TAdviser. Dell, a vital supplier of servers in Russia, did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

The U.S. computer firm said that in late February it suspended sales in Ukraine and Russia and would closely monitor the situation to determine the next steps, Reuters reports.

On Friday, the TASS news agency quoted Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Vasily Shpak as saying that they are monitoring the development of the situation.

According to their data, the vast majority of Dell’s R&D center specialists and support engineers in St Petersburg and Moscow have already received job offers with competitive pay from Russian producers.
