According to court filings, a Missouri woman was granted $5.2 million in a settlement from insurance firm GEICO after catching a sexually transmitted disease from her partner in his GEICO-insured vehicle. This Thursday, the Missouri Court of Appeals maintained the award.
According to court filings, the woman, a Jackson County resident, said she caught Human Papillomavirus (HPV) from her partner. The Missouri Court of Appeals issued a ruling on Tuesday that upheld the original Jackson County Circuit Court arbitration verdict against GEICO.
