Manu Kumar Jain , former Xiaomi India head decides to move on from Xiaomi group after 9 years
On January 30, 2023 Manu Kumar Jain tweeted about his exit from Xiaomi group .Jain now plans to take time-off for few months before taking up next professional challenge .

After co-founding Jabong in 2013 , Jain joined the Xiaomi group in 2014 being one of the earliest employees of Xiaomi in India . He was managing director of the company for three years , from 2014 to 2017 . The few achievements of Xiaomi India under the leadership of Jain were that Xiaomi became the No.1 smartphone brand in the year 2017 , Mr. Ratan Tata also invested in Xiaomi company , Xiaomi was also a catalyst in Make in India revolution as 100% of their smartphones and TV’s were manufactured locally in India and the company was also able to generate 50,000 jobs in India giving employment to many.
In July 2021 , Jain decided to move to abroad to join the international team of Xiaomi as Vice President . Jain was part of Xiaomi group for about nine years before deciding to part ways as according to him , “ now is the right time , as we have strong leadership teams across the world,” He also wished the company to achieve greater success in his post .
According to Economic Times , acknowledging Jain’s contribution Xiaomi has said in a statement ,” In a short span of 7 years at Xiaomi India , Manu Kumar Jain played an instrumental role in the company’s success leading it to be India’s most loved and trusted brand .We would like to thank him for his valuable contribution to the business , and the smartphone industry in India and wish him success in his future endeavors and pursuits.”
