Elon Musk has acquired a substantial stake in Twitter.
According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the billionaire paid more than $3 billion for 9.2 per cent of the company.
After the announcement, Twitter’s stock rose more than 25% in premarket trade.
