NTPC pays interim dividend of ₹3,878 crore for FY22
NTPC, the state-owned power company, has declared an interim dividend of Rs 3,878.67 crore for the fiscal year 2021-22. The dividend paid is 40% of the company’s paid-up equity share capital, according to a statement.
The state-owned NTPC announced on Monday that it had paid the government an interim dividend of 3,878.67 crore for the fiscal year 2021-22. The dividend paid was 40% of the company’s paid-up equity share capital. The genco has paid a dividend for the 29th year in a row.
The company’s total installed capacity is 67,832.30 MW, with 23 coal-based, 7 gas-based, 1 hydro, and 19 renewable energy projects. NTPC has 9 coal-based, 4 gas-based, 8 hydro, and 5 renewable energy joint venture projects.
The NTPC group generated 87.92 BU in Q3 FY22 and 264.70 BU in nine months (9M) FY22, compared to 76.53 BU and 222.41 BU in the previous corresponding periods last year.
On a standalone basis, NTPC gross generation in Q3 FY22 was 72.70 BU and in 9M FY22 was 219.26 BU, compared to 65.42 BU and 193.28 BU in the previous periods. During the 9M FY22, coal stations achieved a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 68.95%, compared to a national average of 57.02%.
The board of directors of NTPC has approved an interim dividend of 40% of paid-up share capital at 4 per equity share of face value of ₹10 each for FY22.
