OnePlus is blown away by the first day pre orders number of OnePlus 12

OnePlus recently launched the much-awaited smartphone OnePlus 12 in India and the global market along with the OnePlus 12R and Buds 3. As per the company, the sale will begin on 30th January 2024 though pre-orders are underway. And OnePlus recently announced that it has received 212% of first day pre-orders of the OnePlus 11 smartphone. This is based on OnePlus internal records.

It’s a big milestone for the company and will surely attract more buyers to think about this smartphone that is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and runs Android 14 out of the box.

Its 12GB/256GB variant is priced at Rs 64,999 while its 16GB/512GB variant is priced at Rs 69,999.

Specifications of OnePlus 12 smartphone

The OnePlus 12 smartphone features a 6.82-inch wide 2K AMOLED display with 4500 nits of peak brightness. It comes with a self-developed Display P1 chip thus presenting bright and purest images with lower power consumption.

It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It has an X7 Independent Visual processor with the company’s IRX gaming experience.

It is equipped with a Cryo velocity cooling system with a 9140 mm² VC heat dissipation area. The handset runs Android 14 based OxygenOS 14. It is promised to receive 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates.

In the camera section, the smartphone sports a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 sensor, 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom, 48 MP ultra-wide camera. The front side of the smartphone sports a 32 MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5400 mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and also supports wireless reverse charging.
