OnePlus Open sets 2023 one day sales record in North America and India

OnePlus launched its first foldable smartphone OnePlus Open recently. This recently launched foldable came with a 7.82-inch wide main AMOLED display and a 6.31-inch cover display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and runs OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13.

Despite being the first foldable from the company and in such a short period the OnePlus Open has set a 2023 one-day sales record in North America and India. This announcement was made by Kinder Liu, OnePlus President and COO. He made this announcement through an X post.

As per the post shared by Kinder, the 2023 one-day sales record in North America was made on OnePlus.com while in India the record was set on Amazon. in.

Even before it was launched Pete Lau the CEO of OnePlus as well as the current CPO of Oppo revealed in a YouTube video that it would come with an improved, design with more strength. He also emphasized aspects like gapless fold and joint effort put in by the Oppo and OnePlus teams to develop this smartphone.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and is paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. It packs LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.

In the camera section, it boasts a 48 MP Sony LYT-T808 primary camera with a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera and a 48 MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide angle lens. There is a 20 MP primary front camera and a 32 MP secondary front camera. It is backed by a 4,805 mAh battery that supports 67W SUPERVOOC charging.

The handset was launched in the market with the price tag of Rs 1,39,999 for 16GB/512GB internal storage. Price cap decided by the company makes it one of the first choices for users who want to buy a foldable as it’s cheaper than other flagship foldables in market.
