Source says Airbus is communicating to sell A220 jets to Delta Airlines
According to sources, European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus (AIR.PA) is in discussion with Delta Air Lines (DAL.N), airlines in the United States, to expand the country’s carriers with existing orders for A220 small jetliners.
Reportedly there has been a deal for a to-up order of around a dozen aircraft signed at Farnborough Airshow by next week where supposedly the U.S carrier will also finalize an order for approximately 100 Boeing 737 MAX airlines.
Two of the companies didn’t say anything regarding the orders and it was not possible to reach any of their spokespeople. According to June Airbus data the airline company has previously ordered 95 Canadian A220s but took delivery of only 56.
However, Delta Airlines Chief Executive Officer said previously in June that they will conduct an aircraft deal with Boeing Co. Even Boeing also confirmed in March that they are landing on a greater deal with Delta for 737 MAX 10 jets. The Chief Executive of Delta said, “I think there is. We’ve been trying to get a deal done with Boeing. We’re keeping our eye on that, and hopefully, we’ll be able to figure that out.” Although he also added, “We continue to see if there’s opportunities with the MAX but no decisions, no hold ups.”
