TCS’ digital accounting software will be used by the Ram Mandir Trust to digitise accounts worth Rs 3000 Crore
TCS, which is creating a digital accounting platform, has been entrusted with the handling of the Ram Temple Trust money.
New Delhi: The Ram Temple Trust said on Sunday (October 24) that its management has elected to utilize Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) digital accounting software to manage its funds, which have surpassed Rs 3,000 crore.
After the trust was recently accused of major wrongdoing over land deals for the temple premises, the trust’s administration decided to employ accounting software.
The takeover has been confirmed by Ram temple Trust General Secretary Champat Rai. The decision was made at the request of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which had invited three prominent Trust members to Mumbai four months ago for a closed-door meeting over the contentious land dealings, according to a report by IANS.
Meanwhile, TCS has reportedly established an office in Ramghat, near Ram Janmabhoomi, to manage the accounts. The IT behemoth is aiming to finish the software development by December.
As soon as the program is completed, the digitization and management of Trust accounts will commence. According to the source, TCS IT professionals recently provided temple construction committee chairman Nripendra Mishra a PowerPoint demonstration of the software.
TCS’s digital performance, according to Temple Trust secretary Champat Rai, is excellent. “We spoke with their software professionals about company needs, and they are currently establishing an accounting system. From December, TCS will digitize and manage our accounts “he stated
Anil Mishra, a member of the temple trust, said, “TCS will handle the digitization of Ram Temple Trust’s accounts. Our licensed accountants will continue to keep track of income and expenditures.”
