According to media sources, Twitter Inc. has sold Twitter to billionaire Elon Musk for 44 billion dollars.

The New York Times said that Mr Musk and Twitter bargained until the early hours of Monday over his attempt to buy the social media network, less than two weeks after the billionaire first revealed a large investment.

Last week, Mr Musk announced that he had secured $46.5 billion (£36.2 billion) in financing to buy Twitter, putting pressure on the company’s board to reach an agreement.

According to the publication, the two parties were debating details such as a schedule and costs if an agreement was reached and suddenly fell apart, citing anonymous sources with knowledge of the issue. The scene, according to the people, was fluid and fast-moving.

As this news has broken out Twitter has finally been owned by the Bliionare Elon Musk.
