‘UN World Food Programme is ready to talk with Musk and anyone else who is serious about saving lives’, David Beasley tweeted with a plan

The richest man of the world, Tesla CEO Elon Musk asked the United Nations World Food Programme about how 6 billion USD would end global hunger and now prompted by the challenge, the head of UN’s World Food Programme has responded with a detailed plan to help avoid Famine in 2022.

It all started when David Beasley, the executive director of WFP stared in an interview with CNN, “The billionaires need to step up now. On a one-time basis, six billion dollars (USD), to help 42 million people that are literally going to die if we don’t reach them. It’s not complicated.” He also pointed out Musk by saying, “Just last week Elon Musk had a 6-billion-dollars net worth increase in one day.”

In response to this, Musk claimed to sell his stocks of Tesla if WFP explained how they will end global hunger.

He tweeted, “If WFP can describe on this Twitter thread exactly how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it.” He retweeted and said, “But it must be open source accounting, so the public sees precisely how the money is spent.”

And now, after more than two weeks, Beasley has responded to Musk with their proper plans and said that they are ready to talk with Nusk or anyone who is serious about saving lives.

He tweeted, “This hunger crisis is urgent, unprecedented, AND avoidable. @elonmusk, you asked for a clear plan & open books. Here it is! We’re ready to talk with you – and anyone else – who is serious about saving live. The ask is $6.6B to avert famine in 2022.”

The WFP has claimed that $3.5 billion of the total amount would be used for food and delivery. It will include the cost of shipping and transport to the destination country, warehousing and last mile delivery that also includes security escorts in conflict zones. Elon Musk is yet to respond to their plan.
