Recently, Vodafone has reportedly cut jobs in its big markets. Earlier this year, 1,000 jobs were cut in Italy and the media reported that Vodafone was looking to cut around 1,300 in Germany.

Amazon terminated a huge number of employees in India across businesses and functions earlier this Monday. Amazon sacked 500 employees in India in the Amazon Web Services, Human Resources, and support function teams of the company.

Google laid off 12,000 employees across the globe. In a letter to employees laid off in India, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, took full responsibility for the job cuts.
