There are some companies whose annual growth is estimated to surpass the GDP of some of the countries. Frankly speaking, some of the founders can really buy a few countries in the world. Fortunately, it’s not happening for at least now but what’s happening is the massive growth of companies. Data has been shared by a World of Statistics named Twitter account in which they have shared the time taken by some of the biggest companies to reach $1 billion in revenue.
We would start from the last and in the last position is Disney which took almost 45 years to generate $1 billion which is way more time than anyone can think of nowadays. You will be surprised to know that even Starbucks took 25 years and IBM took 30 years to reach $1 billion in revenue.
We would now compare it with those companies which did not take much time to generate $1 billion in revenue. If we talk about the least time taken by any company in the list it’s Amazon which took only 5 years to generate this much. Google also took the same time and Apple and Facebook took 6 years.
Things with the internet have changed because now it’s not that much hard to advertise for a brand in another country. Not only has marketing become easy but trade and transport have also eased with time. The market is full of unique ideas where investors are ready to invest and help in marketing.
Companies are trying to understand the mindset of the consumer using past experiences, surveys, and AI.
