CDS Bipin Rawat is no More, Offers condolences on twitter – Lt Gen H S Panag(R)
On Wednesday, an Indian Air Force chopper carrying Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat crashed in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Thirteen of the fourteen people who were killed in the tragedy have been identified. The IAF has established a Court of Inquiry into the mishap, which involved a Mi-17VH helicopter that took off from the Sulur IAF Station in adjacent Coimbatore. There is no immediate word on Gen Rawat’s condition.

Deeply anguished by the sudden demise of Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other Armed Forces personnel in an extremely unfortunate helicopter accident today in Tamil Nadu.
His untimely death is an irreparable loss to our Armed Forces and the country.
