“Russia is ready to sell S-500 only if India shows Interest” told Russian Deputy PM Borisov

Russia is ready to sell its s-500 a surface to air-missile to India only if it shows interest in buying this advanced technology.

After deploying the most advanced S-400 missile in 2007, Russia started to develop the s-500 in 2010  and in  July of Last year Russian Defense Ministry announced a successful testfire against fast-moving ballistic in Kapustin Yav ground. This advanced surface to air missile can strike any kind of aerospace attack at all altitudes and other than this it can also defend against hypersonic cruise missiles and intercept ballistic missiles within 600 km.

It is another series of s-400. Under the deal signed between Russia and New Delhi in 2018, It started to deliver s-400 for about $5 billion. It is also reported that this month two s-400 missiles have been shipped and the remaining three will be delivered next September.

Russia has also shown interest in selling s-500 to India. Recently, Russian Deputy PM Yury Borisov told the Russian RuRBC channel, ” Beyond a doubt, once we deliver this system to our troops, India will be the first on the list, if it expresses its desire to buy these advanced armaments.”

This news of Russia’s Interest in selling the S-500 is confirmed by Russia’s India Envoy and Denis Alipov. But, there is no official announcement from NewDelhi.
