Ant-Man and the Wasp : Quantumania is the first film in Phase Five of the MCU and is all set to release on February 17, 2023 . This film is the sequel to Ant Man (2015) and Ant Man and the Wasp (2018) . It is an American superhero film based on Marvel comics which is produced by Marvel Studios and directed by Peyton Reed .

Ant-Man and the Wasp : Quantumania has eventually landed in ‘rotten ‘ territory ahead of it’s launch which might be a bad news for the Ant-Man series fans . This is the second film of MCU to receive a rotten score . Chloe Zhao’s Ethernals was the first ever Marvel film to receive 47% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 403 reviews .
Most critics have praised the performances of Jonathan Majors , Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathryn Newton ( Cassie) but Peyton Reed’s direction and Jeff Loveness’s script has received criticism .
According to The Verge , watching the third Ant-Man film is sort of like being on a Marvel themed acid trip that’s actually pretty fun until it comes to a confusingly abrupt halt . Also some critics have declared the film’s climax sequence overlong and exhausting along with action scenes lacking thrill and suspense .
In the movie it is shown that Scott Lang has mostly come in terms with being a superhero and now he is trying hard to be a good and loving father as he has already missed 8 years of his daughter Cassie’s life where as Cassie ( Kathryn Newton ) is shown as bright , curious and scientifically inclined girl . If we talk about the time traveling villain of the movie , Kang the Conqueror ( Jonathan Majors ) is shown as powerful and a no-nonsense guy . Kang threatens to kill Cassie if Ant – Man dosen’t help him in getting out of the Quantum Realm by repairing his ship . Kang boasts a genius level intellect in the film with hyper-advanced technology and telekinetic abilities .
Hope Van Dyne’s character is also shown as a full – fledged hero but she has a little less to do in the movie as compared to the previous movies . Two more characters have made their appearance in the film : MODOK ( Kang’s Merchandised Organism Designed only for Killing ) and Vebb , also William Jackson Harper ( The Good Place star) has made his MCU debut through this film .
Starring Paul Rodd , Evangeline Lily , Michael Douglas , Michelle Pfeiffer , Kathryn Newton and Jonathan Major , Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania will release globally on February 17 , in theatres .
