‘Chamak’, the upcoming Sony LIV original TV series released its teaser today on the official Sony LIV YouTube channel. The series is scheduled to be released on the streaming platform on 7 December 2023.
The upcoming series has been a point of discussion among series buffs and the teaser of the same was finally released today. The musical thriller series is directed by creator-director Rohit Jugraj Chauhan.
Premise: The series revolves around the story of Kaala, who is a young aspiring rapper. The rapper returns to Punjab from Canada and solves the death of Taara Singh. Taara Singh was a legendary singer who was killed mid-performance amidst a huge crowd.
According to reports so far, the series explores the trials and tribulations of the Punjab music industry. It explores the politics, business feuds, family history, honor killings, and other aspects of the ever-growing music industry.
According to the director, Chamak is more about the darkness that lingers in the industry.
The series is musically packed with 14 prominent artists and features about 28 songs. This includes singers like Gippy Grewal, Mika Singh, Malkit Singh, MC Square, Afsana Khan, Asees Kaur, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kanwar Grewal, Shashwat Singh, Harjot Kaur, etc.
