First season of the American suspenseful horror drama, “The Terror”, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video

The American supernatural horror drama anthology television series, “The Terror”, now has its first Season streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The series is based on a novel of the same name by Dan Simmons. The first season of the series premiered on AMC in the United States and Canada on March 25, 2018. You can now stream the first season on Amazon Prime Video.

The Terror was developed by David Kajganich. The production companies involved in the series are Scott Free Productions, Entertainment 360, EMJAG Productions, Aquatic Wonders, Inc; and AMC Studios.

The executive producers of the series are Ridley Scott, Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert, David W. Zucker, and Guymon Casady.

The Terror’s first season premise follows the ships of the Royal Navy trapped in unfavorable conditions. The Royal Navy’s polar explorer ships HMS Erebus and HMS Terror are on their way toward King William Island, which is an uncharted territory. They aim to explore and confirm the existence of the Northwest Passage. On its way to check the navigability of the Northwest Passage, the ships froze up and got trapped in the ice.

The first season features Jared Harris as Captain Francis Crozier, Tobias Menzies as Commander James Fitzjames, Paul Ready as Assistant Surgeon Harry Goodsir, Adam Nagaitis as Caulker’s Mate Cornelius Hickey, Ian Hart as Sailing Master Thomas Blanky, Nive Nielsen as Lady Silence and Ciaran Hinds as Captain Sir John Franklin.
