First Trailer of The Archies released, introduces the world of rock-n-roll, teenagers and much more in the fictional world of Riverdale
Saturday, 16 June 2023, saw the release of the much-awaited trailer for Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies”. It was released in the live global event Tudum, which saw an audience of over 10,000 crowds in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The film will be released on Netflix later this year.
The 1.16-minute trailer gives us a glimpse of the world that Zoya Akhtar has tried to take the audience back into.
The story is set in the world of the fictional hill station, Riverdale. This coming-of-age film introduces a group of new-generation teenagers, as they explore friendship, freedom, love, and heartbreak and carry forward their rebellious selves.

The first trailer shows us how the film will take us back to the time of rock-n-roll and all the nuances of boys and girls in the year 1964.
Archies is a musical and it follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton. It is based on the characters of the famous American comic, “Archies”.
The Archies have many actors who will debut their journey with the film. This includes the likes of Suhana Khan and Sridevi, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson.
Other actors in the primary cast include Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, etc.
Netflix India, Tiger Baby, Archie Comics, and Graphic India has jointly produced this film and it will be released on Netflix later this year. However, we are yet to be informed about the actual release date.
