Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Winner, 2022 film, Minions: The Rise of Gru to be available on Netflix India from November 1, 2023

Minions: The Rise of Gru, the 2022 animated film, directed by Kyle Balda is going to be available for streaming on Netflix India from November 1, 2023. The film is the second in line in the Minions franchise after the Minions film of 2015. On the other hand, Minions: The Rise of Gru is the sixth film of the Despicable Me franchise.

The film was released on July 1, 2022, in the United States. Although the series started to be available on Netflix, a little while after its release, it wasn’t available on Netflix India.

The series is now listed on Netflix India to be available from November 1, with a ‘Remind Me’ button.

The screenplay of the film is written by Matthew Fogel, while the story is done by Brian Lynch and Matthew Fogel.

Cast: The film features Steve Carell, Pierre Coffin, Taraji P. Henson, Lucy: Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Julie Andrews, Alan Arkin and Michelle Yeoh.

Premise: The film follows 12-year-old Gru who is rejected by his supervillain idols. We follow him on his journey to prove his despicable nature with the help of the Minions.

Awards: The film won the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 4, 2023, for the ‘Favorite Animated Movie’. Apart from these, the film was also nominated in a lot of major award events in various categories.
