Over the past year, Google has been experimenting with the in-app browser implementation in the google app. However, last year in April, the company first removed the Chrome Custom Tab implementation in favour of a new in-app browser.
Earlier this year, Google re-designed the in-app browser as they moved its controls from the top-right corner of the screen to the bottom for easier access. In the latest version of the app 12.4 beta version; a new page is added called the ” People also view” within the in-app browser. The page contains carousels and also full-width cards.
The new page addition will allow users to easily get more information on the respective topic whilst staying on the same browser window.
